Game Play

roulette_en The game begins with the announcement of the croupier to place your bets „Faites vos jeux!" (or “make your bets”). Player can then place their bets on a number on the table they think the ball will fall in next. However, players may also bet on multiple numbers, or on color. After all bets have been placed, the croupier spins the roulette wheel in one direction, and then throws a white ball in the opposite direction around a tilted circular track running around the circumference of the wheel. The ball eventually falls onto the wheel and into one of 37 (in French/European roulette) or 38 (in American roulette) red and black colored and numbered pockets on the wheel. Bats can be placed until the croupier announces “Rien ne va plus" or no more bets, this concludes the wagering phase.
As soon as the ball falls into one of the numbered pockets, the game is over. The croupier announces the winning number, color and number combination. The croupier collects all loosing table bets, while the winning players are paid.

Odds

The most popular bets are placed on the higher odds; even or uneven numbers, low (1 to 18) or high (19 to 36), or red or black numbers. Payout for these selections is one to one, meaning that if you wager $100 you’ll receive $200 in case you win.

History
